What is Starlink?

Starlink™ is a satellite internet constellation being constructed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX providing global satellite Internet access to remote areas. The Starlink kit comes with a simple ground mount which you can expect to take about 2 to 3 hours to set up (it may take a couple of hours for the unit to align itself in the right direction, optimise and register on the network).
However, to get the best performance, the unit needs to be roof mounted and obstructions minimised.
Any satellite internet connection needs a clear line of sight from your satellite dish to a satellite (or, in Starlink’s case, to connect with hundreds of satellites in low-earth orbit around the planet). Starlink recommends  that you have 100 degrees of clear sky above the satellite dish.
